On March 3, 2011, a very skinny pit bull gave birth to 11 puppies; one was stillborn. On March 16, 2011, the mom and her pups were rescued by Rugaz Rescue and brought to us. The pups all found their forever homes a couple of months later. Heidi was heartworm positive, and lived with us until mid-2012 when she was adopted by a lady in south Florida. Working with Heidi for the CGC, May 5
On May 5, I started working more with Heidi on items that are required for her Canine Good Citizen evaluation. There are ten steps that a dog must complete to be CGC certified (from the AKC):

Monday May 16, Heidi's showing some weight
The puppies have been gone for almost a week. Heidi looked around as soon as she returned from the vet, saw that the pups weren't here, and went on about her way. Pups are gone and she's spayed, and she is acting no different now than she was four weeks ago.
